This product tells you to melt it and use in a spray bottle, but I've been scraping a damp scrubby sponge over it and I think it cleans my kitchen sink almost as well as comet. Cleans the bathroom sink and coats it so it takes longer to get dirty. I haven't tried the spray thing yetThe best stain remover I've ever had! This is the only product I’ll use in my steam-cleaning machine to clean the carpets. It easily removes the dirt and odors. I also keep a jar of it full strength on my kitchen sink and use it for pet stains and any other hard-to-treat problems. Also, I keep a diluted spray bottle handy for kitchen clean-ups. I’ve been using this product over 20 years and I wouldn’t do without it!My grandparents had a tub of this stuff for many years when I was growing up, and they used it to clean everything. When I was in search of a concentrated cleaner that could be purchased in bulk and diluted to fit various tasks, I thought of the tub of pink goo my grandparents used. It’s not like other cleaners that use solvents for cleaning power, so it involves a small learning curve. If you’re looking for something that can clean boats but also is safe enough to use as a shampoo for yourself, this is your product.Use the light solution for anything that you would use a glass cleaner for. This will be streak free and you can even use it on your glasses that have those weird coatings ? Use the heavy solution for everything else, like floors, toilets, showers, and even boats! If used as directed, the 80 oz tub could last 10 years or more.Quick n Brite is from Washington state, so if you’re from Cascadia, this is another local business to support!Only used it once to get grease off boat seats, but plan to used it for many other things. Looks lime it works on a lot of other things. I used it in HOT water, not sure if it works after the water cools, but it was amazing getting grease off.Clean, light scent.I’m in the process of selling my home and have been scouring the Internet for ideas for natural ways to clean my fireplace (which hasn’t been cleaned in a REALLY long time). I saw a lot of sites that suggested using acids and other chemicals, but I didn’t want to do that. I stumbled on this product and decided to give it a try, even though I was skepticalFirst, I know the company makes a spray product specifically for fireplaces. I went with this instead because after my house sells I won’t have another fireplace and I wanted to have more uses for it (bathtubs, etc.) The product is similar to a gelatin/hard oil. It’s not runny, not creamy- more like the inside of a jelly bean. It has no scent that I can tell.I followed the application instructions as best as I could with limited supplies. I filled a spray bottle with really hot water, added in about 2-3 spoons of QB and mixed it together, then Sprayed that on the bricks as prep. Then I got a scrub brush (one I had that I used to clean the tub with) and went to town scrubbing straight QB onto the bricks in circular motions. Applying the product itself was simple. It rubs in kind’ve like a lotion. Getting in the joints was annoying, so I do suggest having a smaller brush more appropriate for small spaces.I allowed it to sit on the bricks for a good 15-20 minutes, then refilled my spray bottle with hot water. I used the “straight” setting on the spray bottle (the one that’s a little harder- not the mist setting) and started to spray the bricks. Immediately the soot started to run off and down. It reminded me of power washing. I wiped the bricks down with a towel and then finished the other two sides.Honestly, after just ONE application this was the result. I’m VERY happy with this product. I’m sure if I wasn’t lazy and did another round of QB I could get it all off, but for what I need this is more than enough. The most difficult part was cleaning the bottom of the fireplace- but that’s more because the water was a PITA to soak up, not because of the product (a wet vac would be perfect for that). Overall- IT WORKS! I didn’t scrub for hours, the product got on me and my clothes and didn’t burn or ruin my clothes, it didn’t stink and i still have half a tub left over for other projects!I have an old tub that’s a real b*tch to clean, so I’ll post pics when I use this for that.I have used what I lovingly call pink slime since I first purchased a bucket at a county fair. It leaves my counter tops clean without the tacky feeling I was getting with another non-toxic spray cleaner or vinegar. Recently, in frustration over the streaks on the front of my stainless steel dishwasher, I sprayed a terrycloth towel buffed the door. It dried streak free. I have used white vinegar, alcohol, a special stainless steel cleaner, and other spray cleaners to buff the door clean but nothing worked until I tried a solution of QuicknBrite cleaner to buff the door. Besides the non-toxic cleaning power, I love the subtle fresh scent.
